Matthew 9
1 Samuel 22:1-6
-We tend to pick things that already seem succesfull for ourselves
-Abraham and lot and barren land
-There are 5 situations with barren people in the 9th chapter
1. There are stages to the ministry of Jesus as with David
2. Recognizing that I'm poor (we can want to believe something's going to work out and yet something's not right)
-Take now thy son
-recognizing my sin (david and uriah)
-faithis a fight till death
-Let's say we get things we've been striving for... what about afterwards?
3. The effect of the barren beleiving
-When the rich beleive, they think they are getting somewhere when they are not
*We've been resisting the thought of "I don't know", but God knows
